So figure a 55 gal drum weighs in at 600 to 800 lbs. 3 to 4 drums roughs out at about a ton. A 55 gal drum is about 7.3 cf so the math roughly works out right. From a chart I found Anthracite coal 1536 lb / cu yard. .76 ... 55 Gallon Drum 7.34 367.4 Pounds 4 * 8 * 3 Coal Bin 96 2.4 Short Tons (4800 Pounds) 4 * 8 * 4 Coal Bin 128 3.2 Short Tons (6,400 Pounds) 4 * 8 * 5 Coal Bin 160 4 Short Tons (8,000 pounds) 4 * 8 * 6 Coal Bin 192 4.8 Short Tons (9,600 Pounds) 5 * 8 * 2 Coal Bin 80 2 Short Tons (4,000 Pounds) 5 * 8 * 3 Coal Bin 120 3 Short Tons (6,000 Pounds) 5 * 8 * 4 Coal Bin 160
